I have lived in St. Louis most of my life and have been a Cubs fan since about age 10....I guess because my Dad was from Indiana and a lifelong Cubs fan. I remember listening to Jack Quinlan broadcasting Cubs games in the early 1960s. My thoughts then were he was a great announcer, like Harry Caray of the Cardinals, describing the game from a fan's point of view, but without all Haray's bs. I especially remember his proud starting line for each game, "The Chicago Cubs are on the air". How good was he? Well, the fact I remember him after all these years should tell you something! So glad I found this site and the memories.

hey! hey! Look what I found while surfing. I have a picture with Ernie banks also. While driving through Texas I heard Milo Hamilton on some station doing Astro baseball games. I haven't forgotten all of the greatest sports announcing teams from WGN. It's just exciting to see your page. Always--- Jim Di Lullo
